The Board of Supervisors allocated $110,000 from the county's in-lieu housing trust fund to help the Community Land Trust Association of West Marin purchase the property.
Some of the occupants use Section 8 housing vouchers and pay as little as $122 a month in rent; the highest rent paid for one of the apartments is $1,612 for a three-bedroom unit.
The house at 31 Giacomini Way was part of a large affordable housing project built by the Ecumenical Association for Housing in 2005.
